About Us

The Covington Independent School District (ISD) serves a diverse population of students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 on one campus. Covington ISD is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and has been a TEA "recognized" school district two times in recent years.

This 43 square mile district has a current enrollment of 335 students. The student population is 94 percent Anglo, 1 percent African-American, 4 percent Hispanic, and 1 percent Asian. Covington ISD is the largest employer in the district with a faculty and staff of 54 employees.

The vision of Covington ISD is that all students will be challenged, successful, motivated to learn, independent thinkers, and problem solvers. Covington ISD envisions a learning facility where students will achieve academically; explore their interest; and grow mentally, morally, and physically through the school's academic, fine arts, athletic, and vocational programs.

The Covington ISD administration and the entire school staff along with the community will act as mentors, guides, and advisors to the learning process to achieve excellence in all fields of study. Students will strive for excellence in all classes and extracurricular activities and be proud of the school they represent. Parents will be a part of their child's education process in a positive and supporting manner at each grade level and all areas of endeavor.
