The Board of Trustees in cooperation with the staff, parents, and community has identified certain characteristics as being desirable in the superintendent/CEO.
Experience with school bond development, the bond election process, and construction management is preferred A strong, experienced administrator with a new perspective, who can provide direction to the district through a collaborative planning process Confident leader with a proven record of building successful teams, improving academic performance, and working collaboratively with different groups "People" person with a sense of humor and easy manner who motivates staff and students to excel by his or her presence, support, and positive example Able to work in partnership with a Board of Trustees and build a climate of candor, mutual trust, and cooperation A creative problem solver who can make the tough decisions and then support those decisions with resources and personal commitment Person of integrity with high moral standards and personal ethics A superior communicator with refined interpersonal skills who is visible, willing to listen and learn, and interacts well with the staff and community Committed to Central ISD for the long term and actively involved in the district and community
