Bob Smith
Bob Smith served as a school superintendent for 22 years, equally divided between Montgomery and Gilmer ISDs. He previously taught in Van and Goliad ISDs and was a high school principal in Lovelady ISD. Smith served with the U.S. Army Military Police in Korea in the early 1970s. He received a master's of education at Stephen F. Austin University and a doctor of education in educational administration at Texas A&M. He recently has served as adjunct lecturer at Sam Houston State University, participating on a team that designed the university program for superintendent certification. Currently, he serves as TASB field services representative for Regions 4, 5, and 6. Smith lives in Montgomery.
