Served 29 years in public education as teacher, principal, and superintendent. He served as a school superintendent at Fort Davis ISD, Sonora ISD, Alpine ISD, and Presidio ISD. He is former board member, Texas Association of School Boards Risk Management Board and joined TASB as a field services representative in 2003. He resides in Alpine, Texas.
