A transition session for the board-CEO team is intended to strengthen the new working relationship is available following the hiring of the new CEO. The session is led by a consultant from the Texas Association of School Boards' (TASB) Leadership Team Services.
The session normally focuses on clarifying expectations and identifying issues the board-CEO team will need to concentrate on immediately. Alternately, the session can focus on clarifying or establishing goals, reviewing or developing board-CEO operating procedures, or reviewing governance roles and responsibilities.
Customize your session
The board president and CEO will work with the TASB consultant to determine the nature and length of the session by phone in advance of the session. The session can last up to four hours and may be scheduled for any mutually agreeable day or evening. Board member continuing education credit is awarded for the session.
