Blankenship Reappointed to Statewide Association Board

(AUSTIN) – The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) has reappointed Morris Blankenship of Adrian ISD to the TASB Risk Management Fund board of trustees.
Blankenship was appointed to the Risk Management Fund Board in August 2007. He previously served on the TASB Board of Directors from October 1995 to September 2004 and was a member of the charter Leadership TASB class of 1993. He has served as president for organizations such as the Panhandle Area School Board Association, Adrian Lions Club, Simms Lions Club, and Camp Blue Haven, a Christian youth camp in New Mexico. He earned his bachelor's degree in education from Abilene Christian and a master's degree in math from Texas Christian University. Morris is owner-operator of a farm and cattle operation in Deaf Smith County and chief pilot for the Jack B. Kelley Company in Amarillo.
The TASB Risk Management Fund is the largest provider of risk management coverage in the state of Texas. With over 1,100 members, the Fund provides coverage through its unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, and property/casualty programs. Services range from loss prevention and free member training events to online resources.
