Robert Sheppard

Region 8

Sheppard has been a member of the Pleasant Grove ISD School Board since 1993 and has served as its president and vice-president. He was appointed to the TASB Board in April 2007 and also serves as a TASB Risk Management Fund Board member. A retired revenue agent at the Internal Revenue Service,

Sheppard serves on the board of the Red River Federal Credit Union, P16 Council, and Bowie Central Appraisal District. He also proudly serves as a member of the Methodist Retirement Communities Board.  He is a Master Trustee and Leadership TASB graduate, has served on the Property/Casualty Fund Board, and has participated in Delegate Assembly and the Grassroots Advocacy Process.

Sheppard belongs to the Northeast Texas School Boards Association, serving in 2000–01 as its president. He attended Louisiana Tech University and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics.
