Charles Stafford

Charles R. Stafford’s service on the Denton ISD Board has included two terms as vice-president and one as president. He was elected to the TASB Board in October 2006.
Stafford has been self-employed as a Realtor® and real estate developer for 26 years. From 1970 to 1979 he served in the Texas House of Representatives, where he directed a committee staff. He attended Monterey High School in Lubbock and the University of Texas at Austin.
He has held membership in the Denton Chamber of Commerce, Greater Denton-Wise Association of Realtors, and the Texas and National Associations of Realtors and was founding board president of both the Denton Public School Foundation and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County. He participates in fund-raising activities for the Boy Scouts of America, Denton High School Choir, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and numerous other student groups.
A father of seven children including four adopted kids, Mr. Stafford brings an extremely strong "child advocacy" perspective plus a business orientation to his community organizations.
