Carlos Vasquez

Region 11B*

Carlos Vasquez has served on the Fort Worth ISD Board for three years. Vasquez is an educational consultant at Vasquez and Associates, LLC, with more than 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in Fort Worth ISD.

Vasquez serves on the Fort Worth Downtown Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District Board, Imagination Celebration Board of Directors, Sickle Cell Disease Board of Directors, and JPS Health Advisory Board. In the past, he has been president of the Texas Association of Hispanic School Administrators and Fort Worth Association for Bilingual Education; vice-president of the Fort Worth Public School Administrators Association and Fort Worth Area Council for Social Studies; and member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, International Reading Association, National Council for Teachers of Mathematics, and Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.

Vasquez received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, his master’s of education degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and his doctorate of education administration from Baylor University.
